FORMER SECURITY GUARD GETS 10 MONTHS IN JAIL FOR STEALING FROM MAXIS

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) — A former security guard at Maxis

telecommunication company was sentenced to 10 months” jail by the Magistrate

Court here today after he pleaded guilty of stealing RM20,000 worth of mobile

phones and laptop computers belonging to the company last month.

Magistrate Azmil Mustapha Abas also ordered Rahman Rapun, 31, to serve the

sentence from the date of his arrest on Oct 21.

Rahman, from Sabah, was charged with breaking into the company’’s office at

Level 10, Menara Maxis, KLCC, Jalan Ampang, at 7.05pm on Oct 15 and stealing 14

mobile phones and two laptop
